The Botanical Gardens are set in a tranquil setting of rolling hills, breath-taking lakes and tropical gardens manicured to perfection. This establishment could be a setting out of a movie! The accommodation is in standalone houses with rooms all individually decorated with art and antiques. The style was elegant and detailed. There are gazebos dotted all over the property with fountains, swimming pools and lavish walkways. The main restaurant is set in a 4-storey building, overlooking two lakes and Manzini. The cuisine was excellent and top-class. The breakfast room was in a different location from the restaurant and we had our meals alongside the pools and running water and fountains. This location was out of this world! I have never stayed anywhere which had matched this for beauty!
From this destination we toured the Malkerns Candle factory and craft markets. We also visited the House of Fires for a brief look around as they were preparing for their annual Bushfire rock festival. We enjoyed a visit to the memorial to King Sobhuza and the National Museum before we headed up to Mbabane meet Patrick Ward at the Mountain Inn for lunch overlooking the Ezulwini Valley.
