On 1st June, we returned home and then to the airport. We were really quite toured out. My travel companion had been on the road for two months and was pleased to take a respite from all the activity.
There were a couple of thoughts that I would like to share with you about this trip:
- Next time I will take a hi-rise vehicle with 4 x 4 capabilities.
- The service levels and the reception by all the folk we met on this trip were exceptional and it all bodes well for our industry going forward.
- One of the anomalies was that on all our game drives, guides would stop for impala but drive straight past Nyala and Kudu, it was strange for me – so we stopped at all antelope species.
- One dreams about putting together an itinerary together for a trip like this! When it happens, it is just such a pleasure! I got to go on it, thanks to my travel partner, Pam!
