The tour combines some of the best wildlife and wilderness areas of South Africa – the rugged beauty of the mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland; the diversity of Kwa-Zulu Natal; the multiple habitats of the Lebombo Mountains; the waterways of the Pongola Dam; the estuary of St Lucia with the inland salt lake filled with crocodiles and Hippos; the Mangrove Swamps and sub-tropical vegetation; the dunes, forests and sea with the most beautiful beaches.
The tour starts along the Mpumalanga plateau, through the Drakensberg mountains and valleys, waterfalls and man-made forests. Then onto the Blyde River Canyon with the beautiful Panorama and its spectacular views, traveling through the Abel Erasmus pass and onto the Lowveld with its warm sub-tropical climate.
Your first night is in a private lodge, Mohlabetsi in Balule, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Here you will enjoy the sunset open vehicle game drives with powerful spotlights in search of the nocturnal animals.
